The Pacific Team

As any business owner knows the longer that you are in business the more people you see come and go through your doors not just customers, but employees too. As Steve said in the article about our history “Without the people that work here none of this could happen.” That’s where the Pacific Team comes in! Get to know our team:

This statement is so true! Here at Pacific Company we have a great team of people. As a matter of fact we love our team so much that we thought that you should get to know them too!

Pacific Team:

Cam – Digital Printer/Graphic Production/Pre-Press/Manager

Cam joined the Pacific team in 1995 shortly after Steve opened his doors for business. Before Pacific Cam graduated from Cheney High School. He attended the skills center for Commercial Art and worked as a t-shirt, sign printer and graphic artist for a couple local shops in Spokane. He loves working at Pacific Company because of the production environment.

Outside of work Cam enjoys playing the drums. He also loves pretty much anything outside from biking and camping to gardening, golf and Frisbee.

Jeff – Sales & Marketing

Jeff became part of the Pacific family in 2004. He graduated from Gonzaga Prep High School. From there went on to get his bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Marketing from the University of Idaho. Since then he has worked in sales for a computer networking manufacturer and then for an internet service provider.

Jeff’s favorite aspect of the job is all the different kinds of customers that he gets to work with. Corporate, schools, events and so much more, he loves taking their ideas and seeing them through to completion. Getting to see the customer’s reaction when they receive their order on time and on budget is the best part.

He was born and raised in Spokane and married his wife Cori in 1994. They have two kids, Carson (14) and Natalie (11). He loves spending time with his friends and family outside of work. Summers are spent at their lake house at Deer Lake and winters are spent snow skiing. When he is not doing that he enjoys watching football and supporting his favorite teams: the Seattle Seahawks, Idaho Vandals and WSU Cougars. When football is not on he makes up for it with Gonzaga Basketball and the Seattle Mariners Baseball.

Roni – Seamstress

Roni jumped on board the Pacific team in April of 2004. After owning her own sewing business and being a wife for 20 years she decided that she wanted to be a part of something a little bigger. Roni absolutely loves everything about her job her at Pacific. From the laid back atmosphere to the sense of humor of the boss, it’s all good! She loves that he is willing to get his hands dirty and jump in and help where he is needed. Roni has been with Pacific for 12 years and has seen the amount of growth that this company has gone through. She feels very blessed to be a part it and she can’t wait to see where we go from here!

Outside of work Roni enjoys reading and working around her house. She has 10 acres of trees so there is always something to be done/worked on at home.

Gavin – Pre-Press & Production

Gavin has been a part of the Pacific Company family since 2012. Before he joined us he worked as a cook/chef and glass blower. He graduated from Spokane Falls Community College with a degree in Fine Art. Gavin loves the independent work environment and the fact that he always has something to work on.

Outside of work Gavin enjoys cooking, fine wines and craft beer, playing the guitar and spending time with his wife and dogs.

Gabe – Screen-Printer

Gabe is the newest addition to our production team, joining us in August 2016. He came to the Spokane area from Pennsylvania 16 years ago and fell in love with the area. Gabe has worked as a screen-printer since 1998 taking extended breaks here and there. He really enjoys working with the crew that we have here at Pacific. “I’ve silk-screened for many years and this is by far the best crew I’ve worked with.”

Outside of work Gabe likes to be outdoors. He loves camping, hiking and playing the harmonica.

Jessica – Marketing/Social Media & Sales

Jessica is also fairly new to Pacific Company as well, coming to us in September 2016. She has a bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication from Montana Tech and has been working in the industry as a Graphic Designer/Marketer since 2012. Even though she has just joined our team she loves the variety of work that she does. Every day is a little different and it keeps things interesting.

In her free time Jessica enjoys teaching Zumba & Pound Fitness, painting, gardening and going on adventures with her husband and their two labs.

Steve – Owner

Our History

IMG_2679 | Our HistoryOur history starts with Steve Decker opening his doors in June of 1994 as Cantalopewear.  He always knew that he wanted to run his own business. With this goal in mind he pursued an accounting degree at the University of Idaho. Degree in hand he chose to teach himself how to screen-print. With a small loan for equipment he was up and running.

In 1998 we expanded into the wholesale banner business and with that we decided that a name change was in order. Cantalopewear would no longer work, we needed a name that would not put a limit on the products and services offered and the decision was made to change to Pacific Company. The name not only reflects the region in which we live, but also where we service our customers.

In 2000 we added wholesale signs to the growing list of products and services offered. Ten years later we purchased the equipment needed to print large format flat stock in high volumes. In the following years we have added a large format digital UV flatbed and the grand format banner printing to our offerings.

One thing that we live by at Pacific Company is that we always deliver on what we promise.  Even if that means sometimes we have to eat it financially or swallow our pride to get the job done.

The company is continuing to grow at a steady rate and we are continually adding diversity to our services, product mix and equipment to help our customers be successful.

Our History Is Made By …

“The whole key to this deal is the employees. Without the people that work here none of this could happen. We have been very lucky to have some really great people work here in the last 20 years. I feel an obligation to make this business successful for them more than for myself.” –Steve Decker
